Bahama's Mission Adventure for True HSHurricane Matthew was a monster. The storm caused death and destruction in the Caribbean and southeastern U.S. from September 28 to October 10, 2016. Headlines read Hurricane Matthew Annihilates the Caribbean. In the Caribbean, Hurricane Matthew obliterated Haiti with massive flooding, causing an estimated $2.5 billion in damage to over 200,000 homes and other structures. The hurricane then soaked parts of Cuba, creating devastating floods. Finally, it ravaged the Bahamas with widespread flooding and huge storm surges. The storm destroyed many homes, roads, schools, businesses and government buildings. True has friends and family in the Bahamas and we believe we are called to learn and serve. We are taking a small team of High school students and leaders to come along side Pastor Ken Lane a Presbyterian currenly serving in the Bahamas. We will be working hard and we will be learning much more as seek to create real relationships with our brothers and sisiters on the island. Currently we are planning a Parkour experience as well as working in a food distribution center. Our projected cost is between $800-$1000. We would depart Austin on Saturday June 24th and return June 30th
